About us

The Filipino American Society of Fairbanks is a Filipino-American community in the Interior Alaska. We are a non-political, non-religious and non-profit organization promoting and keeping our cultures alive, with the ideals of liberty and democracy.

The association is organized and operated exclusively for civic, cultural education and charitable purposes. Subject to the limitations stated in the Articles of Incorporation, the purposes of this organization shall be to engage in lawful activities, none of which are for profit, for which the corporation may be organized. (Under Alaska Statute 10.20 and Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954), or (the corresponding future statutes).

This association’s primary purposes:

- To enhance unity and friendship among Filipino-American families in the interior Alaska and other Filipino American communities in the United States.

- To promote awareness of and interest in the Filipino culture and heritage among its members and their communities.

- To participate in various civic and community services and encourage member involvement in these activities.

- To foster among its members love and concern, loyalty and respect for Alaska, the United States and the Philippines.
