Valentine! - Word of Thanks

Mga Bayanihan - Fil-Am valentines party was another success.  There were 125 people who participated the delightful evening and I want to thank everyone who helped made all this possible.  To my fellow officers, friends, the Asian Food Market and most of all the highest ticket sales made possible by Mr. Carreon.  A special thanks to our maestros, “music” operators Mr. Lamael Montero and Mr. Romeo Bola.  The highlight of the evening a special song “My Valentine” sang by Mrs. Suyene Dallman and our very own show dancers presented the grand opening valentine celebration by Tim Graybeal and Wendy Demacali, Ray Ganacias and Stephanie Temple.  Fil-Am is always grateful to God for your selfless efforts, time and services rendered to this association. We encourage our youth and youngsters to participate in nurturing the cultural dances to promote the vibrant flavour of the Filipino heritage into the future generations ahead.  February 10, 2008 was another evening to remember.

Valentines Party/Founders Day is the only semi-formal event for Fil-Am (time to dress up without carrying food for potluck).  This type of gathering provides time to share, network, keeping-n-touch, and meet new friends.  Another time to enjoy the commonality through dancing, laughter, listen to music, and a special time to mesmerize your love one with admiration, to enjoy what life bring with the spirit of unity.

The atmosphere was great, the food was good, the service could be better, and the music was lively.  I thank those who patiently waited for the right food to come along, and I apologize to any misgiving or delay.  Achieving a better process was noted as lessons learned to better serve you.  Next time, food selection will be noted on the tickets upon purchased, and last minute reservation without payment will be discouraged.

Valentine pictures - I encourage everyone who have pictures for yourselves from your table/corner to share it for posting.  However, it is limited to one or two (2) pictures each, so that we will have coverage for everybody, and not to overwhelm Allan. Fair enough?  

On behalf of the Fil-Am Officers, I want to welcome the new members who recently signed up.  Thank you to those who renewed their membership for 2008. Our membership is growing, and the new member names, and current members will be posted soon!  

My dear members and families, friends, guest, and visitors who one time or another took part during our event(s), I thank you for your continuing support.  There are new visions to be presented on our “general assembly/spring fling”, April 12, 2008, at the JP Jones Development Center.  I look forward in seeing you all again.
